The IT-fashion destination, Milan has long owned the fashion crown and space. Autumn-Winter shows this year were no different. The fashion quotient ran high, the glam was top notch and the designers delivered. With the Mob Wife trend taking over social media, it came as no surprise that the runways were heavy on leopard prints and neutral tones, sheer detailing, and monochrome were some other chart toppers. Leopard Prints

Right up on our list is this trend that’s been roaring through the ramps of digital media and had the front-row cheering on. Yep, animal prints are here to stay (thank you, #MobWife) While Dior & Dolce and Gabbana translated this trend into trench coats, Versace’s iconic gold motifs blended with leopard print flawlessly. We’re also really digging this power-shoulder play by Marni.

Earthy Neutrals

A spectrum of neutrals in Earthy-tones (our favorite kind!) took centre stage - tan, brown, sage and mustard were spotted across collections, each telling a different narrative. Saint Laurent went head-to-toe neutrals with fur, sheer, and monochrome all at once. Dior sent a classy olive half-sleeved trench down the ramp, while Versace, Gucci, and Tom Ford embraced rust browns and khakis. We’re loving this neutral takeover, NGL.

Crop it Like it’s Hot

The uber-flattering cropped jacket silhouette accentuates the frame like no other – elongating ‘em legs and enhancing that torso. Dolce & Gabbana added a touch of chic - contrasting bling with a tailored fit. Quite the spin on power dressing! Versace, Tom Ford, and Fendi took the classic route with co-ord sets playing high on structure and silhouette.

Tailored Chic

The Saint Laurent oversized jacket with a tailored fit grabbed quite some eyeballs while Ferragamo’s red power suit redefined tailored chic. Dolce & Gabbana went pantless with a stunning blazer, styled incredibly with monotone accessories.

Sheer Statement

Sheer fabrics were a crowd favourite in Milan. Dolce & Gabbana went for a masquerade take with fur and flowy layers whereas Saint Laurent bared it all with sheer drapes, styled with chunky bracelet stacks. Versace and Tom Ford persuaded the bling path with an intricate web of gemstones and letting bold slits do their thing.

Furry Affair

A statement on its own, fur jackets stole the show –thanks to all the volume and grandeur. Designers like Gucci & Tom Ford went all cosy, in style, in monochrome ensembles. Saint Laurent repurposed the wearable as an accessory – and oh boy! Was it stellar.

Off-the-Shoulder

The street has it – off-shoulders are making rounds yet again. And we got no complaints here! An alluring classic, off-shoulder neckline aptly teased skin-show, making a comfortable yet statement pick. Gucci and Tom Ford to Armani - off-shoulder pieces we’re going to see a lot of, come red carpet season.

Knot it up

Giorgio Armani placed the knotted scarf instead of the tie, taking creativity up a notch. Dolce Gabbana narrated a tale of black sheer layers, with knot details elevating the look, whereas Prada laid a casual statement with pops of colour. Knotted details are the next statement accessory - these runways are proof!

Monochrome FTW

Wearing different hues of the same colour has long since been a statement hack. This monochrome trend is on the rise - Ferragamo and Gucci went for Earthy neutrals whereas Versace dared to go bold with red latex. Saint Laurent bared it all with a monochrome sheer number.

Head Adornments

Headpieces seemed to be an easy pick for styling this fashion week, given how impactful of a statement they are. Designers were seen getting creative with Dolce & Gabbana giving a classic touch to a beret, Moschino going for some nautical fun with a ‘boat’head, and Christian Dior bejewelling the beret with gold accents.

Sleek AF

The clean-girl era, safe to say, is yet to go off the racks. The polished and well-kept, sleek back hair was a definitive statement of minimal, elegance and sophistication this runway season. The side parting, though, was an easy favourite across Prada, Fendi, Ferragamo, and Max Mara.
